Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026. How Social Yield collects, uses, and protects personal information.

1. Who we are. Social Yield (we, us) operates socialyield.ai and provides managed brand and social media services to venture capital, private equity, and growth-stage companies. This policy covers the Site and our services; it does not cover third-party platforms such as LinkedIn, X, or Meta, which have their own policies.

2. Information we collect. Information you provide: name, work email, firm, role, and message contents when you submit our contact, demo, careers, or privacy forms. Information collected automatically: device, browser, pages viewed, referring URLs, and approximate location derived from IP, via cookies and similar technologies. Public social data: for clients and prospective clients, we analyze publicly available social media content and engagement metrics to produce benchmarks and strategy recommendations. We do not collect private messages or non-public account data without authorization.

3. How we use information. To respond to inquiries and provide services; to prepare benchmarks and demos you request; to operate, secure, and improve the Site and platform; to send service communications; and to comply with legal obligations. We do not send marketing drip campaigns to contact-form submissions.

4. How we share information. With service providers who process data on our behalf (hosting, email, analytics, payment) under confidentiality; with professional advisors where necessary; in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale with notice where required; and where required by law. We do not sell personal information for money. Certain analytics or advertising integrations may constitute sharing under some state laws; you can opt out on our Your Privacy Choices page, and we honor the Global Privacy Control signal.

5. Cookies and analytics. We use strictly necessary cookies for Site operation and analytics cookies to understand aggregate usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some may affect functionality.

6. Data retention. We retain personal information for as long as needed for the purposes described here: inquiry records for up to 24 months after last contact, client engagement records for the term of the engagement plus the period required by law or our legitimate business needs, and analytics data in aggregated form.

7. Security. We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and audit logging on client-facing systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

8. Your rights. Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, to opt out of sale or sharing, and to limit use of sensitive personal information — without discrimination for exercising them. Submit requests through Your Privacy Choices or email hello@socialyield.ai. We respond within the timelines required by law, typically 45 days.

9. Children. The Site is intended for business audiences and not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. International visitors. We operate from the United States and process information there. If you access the Site from outside the US, you consent to processing in the US.

11. Changes to this policy. We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the date above.

12. Contact. Privacy questions or requests: hello@socialyield.ai, or write to Social Yield, Boise, Idaho.
